    Why Anonymous Accounts Matter

    No Email Required

Create your Zitto account with a username alone. We never ask for your email address, phone number, or any personally identifying information.

    Recovery Phrase

Instead of a password, your account is secured by a private recovery phrase — a unique sequence of words only you possess.

    No Verification Codes

No SMS codes. No email confirmations. No waiting. Your account is ready the moment you choose a username.

    No Phone Number

Your phone number stays private. Zitto never requests, stores, or links a phone number to your account.

    Nothing to Leak

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to expose in a breach. Anonymous by design — not just by policy.

    Pseudonymous Identity

Your identity in Zitto is your username only. You can be anyone or no one — completely on your terms.

    How the Recovery Phrase Works

Traditional apps tie your account to an email address and use password reset emails to recover access. This model requires you to share a real identity with the service. Zitto rejects this.

When you register, Zitto generates a recovery phrase — a unique sequence of words derived from your account's cryptographic identity. This phrase is shown to you once, and only you can see it. Zitto does not store it. There is no server-side copy.

If you lose access to your device, entering your recovery phrase on any device restores your account completely. No email, no support ticket, no identity verification needed.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I recover my account if I lose my device?

Your account is tied to your recovery phrase — a unique set of words generated when you register. Store it somewhere safe. Anyone with this phrase can access your account, so treat it like a private key.

Is there truly no email required?

Correct. Zitto registration requires only a username. No email, no phone number, no verification of any kind. Your account exists as a pseudonymous identity secured by your recovery phrase.

What happens to my account if I never log in again?

Zitto's Dead Man Switch feature can be configured to take automatic privacy actions (like wiping data) if your account is inactive for a defined period. This is optional and fully configurable.

Can I have multiple anonymous accounts?

Yes. Because no personal data is linked to accounts, you can create multiple Zitto accounts with different usernames — each completely independent and anonymous.

What if someone picks the same username?

Usernames are unique at registration. If a username is taken, you'll be prompted to choose another. Your internal account ID is distinct from your display name.
